Interesting. 1/2 the players (only 6 on the field) and 1/2 the distance (only a 50 yard field instead of 100). Lack of pads makes me wonder about the # of injuries.

Something that's been noted by groups behind Lacrosse, is that the equipment should be protective, but not capable of being used as a weapon, the way football helmets and shoulder pads can be. The shoulder pads are much closer to what's used in Lacrosse, and it looks like they're using hockey helmets.

I think football and hockey would have fewer injuries if the armor is banned.
Of course, they must ban top of the shoulder hits. Ban hits above the armpits.
You can’t “accidentally” hit opposition players in the head if you ban top-shoulder hitting.
Every player who head-hits above the armpit should be ejected and given a “attempt to maim” penalty.
Go back to the hockey equipment that Gordie Howe wore. There were fewer injuries.
