I sort of agree with that, it’s gotten a lot of attention in these past few days, too much. I’m with those who are going to boycott. I don’t know what else to add.

Ray Lewis, but not Christopher Columbus, Abe Lincoln, Thomas Jefferson, George Washington, Stonewall Jackson, or Robert E. Lee? Scotty, beam me up!

I think this needs to go beyond the NFL, the NBA, and all parts of the Entertainment/Media Complex that are anti-American.

If that statue offends anyone, it should be put in a museum instead!

I see how this works now; it’s OK to tear down statues of MEN who GAVE THE LAST FULL MEASURE OF DEVOTION to their beliefs during the most horrendous war this country ever fought, but the police have to protect the statue of some PUSSY, OVERPAID PLAYER OF A CHILD’S GAME!!!
F#CL THE NFL (national f#ck’in losers), F#CK ALL THE OVERPAID CRYBABIES, F#CK THE OWNERS, F#CK THE DIEHARD FANS WHO ARE TO STUPID TO KNOW WHEN A STEROIDAL FREAK IS PISSING ON THEIR LEG AND TELLING THEM IT’S RAINING.
And yes, I was yelling at the top of my voice.

We're making a big deal about this because President Trump got everyone all excited about it -- on both sides -- when he tossed his hand grenade into the midst of the NFL owners and players and their media sycophants last Friday.

Actually, what has gotten everyone worked up is that he tossed a whole bunch of hand grenades into that crowd ... and those dumb bastards have all spent the last five days grabbing them and pulling the pins out.

It’s also being opportunistic about finally doing something about the Left’s hold over the Entertainment industry, and letting them know that without us, they are nothing.

If I’m going to do something, I’m just going to forge ahead and do it. I’m not going to make a Broadway show out of it.

I agree, some of it might look like overkill but some of these are also important stories to keep up with. I think this is, because it calls to mind that that statue may well face vandalism or worse unless security was put on it.

That’s a very keen observation that you made the other day; it’s totally on the mark and I hadn’t thought of that. From entertainment, to sports, to education and so on.

You said:
Fans are making a big deal out of this. Just quietly stop going to the games, watching the games, and don’t buy the merchandise or the NFL sponsors. All of this posting videos of fans burning jerseys and petitions are having an effect to the point that the NFL will end up not caring because the majority of these fans will continue to watch the sport. Even the threads here on FR is overkill now. Just don’t watch the games, and they’ll get the message. Ignorance is bliss!

If the boycotts of NFL and Sponsors aren’t pushed in some form of media every day, they will die.

It was a law of business when I was young:

THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT!

Businesses and sports leagues seemingly have forgotten that.
The boycotts will reinforce the primacy of that old rule.

It’s important to keep up with stories as well for some people, so we don’t go lukewarm on this matter. Not that that will be a problem for many, I’m just saying.

After 2 or 3 days of this, some advertisers are already squawking, the Pats said they will be standing... it’s all having an effect and the NFL and their teams, every one of them has some guilt, are being vilified. I think they are cratering already; but they can’t sooth the outrage they have caused to many Americans.

Amen.

Put your money where your mouth is. Righteous indignation carries no weight with the NFL or the owners.

Lewis said he was praying. “I dropped on two knees — both knees — so I can simply honor God in the midst of chaos,” he said on Showtime’s “Inside the NFL.”

Sure looked like it. Kneeling rather than taking a knee. Head bowed. Lips moving. His comments on "Inside the NFL" were quite passionate and vigorous about how 'taking a knee' before the flag was wrong and disrespectful.
