The Fort Worth Park and Recreation Advisory Board met Wednesday and unanimously agreed to re-brand a local park named for Jefferson Davis, the president of the short-lived Confederate States of America, to Parque Unidad, Unity Park. Only last Friday, the Dallas Park Board voted to strip Confederate General Robert E. Lees moniker from the park which bore his name. It will temporarily revert back to a previous nomenclature, Oak Lawn Park, until Dallas determines a new name. As Breitbart Texas reported, this followed the controversial decision city officials made to remove Lees bronze likeness from public grounds with little input from taxpayers.
In Fort Worth, however, an online petition started by Emily Farris, a Texas Christian University (TCU) assistant professor of political science, reportedly sparked the effort to erase Confederate history from within the city limits. To date, the petition garnered more than 5,800 signatures of its 7,500 goal.

Democrats sure in a hurry to white wash their own history before they actually get held accountable for what they did. That said, if you are going to rename it at least make the name be in English.
Im sure this Emily Farris lives in a white neighborhood.

It will soon be Parque Antonio López de Santa Anna, in celebration of Mexico’s reconquista and the expunging of American history.
Demonizing anything connected with the South is easy due to the enthusiastic complicity of the neocon contingent and other unthinking fellow travellers continuing Obama’s reconstruction of America.
The cultural revolution won’t stop with the memorials to the Confederacy. That’s only the beginning. The likes of Nikki Haley and Dinesh D’Souza think what they do is on the side of the angels, it’s actually on the side of the hard left’s war on America.
Why don’t they have the guts to put these things to a public vote?
Fort Worth is a Republican run town. Or at least the elected elite have presented themselves to be such.
I want names for the next election. Why vote for a donkey dressed as an elephant when we can vote for a real jackass?
Texas won its independence from Mexico once. Don’t make us do it again.
Call it Parque de los liberal as y de los idiotas (Liberals and Morons Park)
