The Justice Department announced today that it filed a lawsuit against Crop Production Services Inc. (Crop Production), headquartered in Loveland, Colorado, for allegedly discriminating against U.S. workers in violation of the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA).
The complaint alleges that in 2016, Crop Production discriminated against at least three United States citizens by refusing to employ them as seasonal technicians in El Campo, Texas, because Crop Production preferred to hire temporary foreign workers under the H-2A visa program. According to the departments complaint, Crop Production imposed more burdensome requirements on U.S. citizens than it did on H-2A visa workers to discourage U.S. citizens from working at the facility. For instance, the complaint alleges that whereas U.S. citizens had to complete a background check and a drug test before being permitted to start work, H-2A workers were allowed to begin working without completing them and, in some cases, never completed them. The complaint also alleges that Crop Production refused to consider a limited-English proficient U.S. citizen for employment but hired H-2A workers who could not speak English. Ultimately, all of Crop Productions 15 available seasonal technician jobs in 2016 went to H-2A workers instead of U.S. workers.

Local and legal residents should get the work.
You go boys. Time to ride.
Did Sessions wake up?
I think he is out of his coma!
“Did Sessions wake up”? Only when it doesn’t involve anything Clinton.
Wake me when this starts happening wholesale in the computer/software tech industries.
Gotta start somewhere....
Create the case law....then tackle the heavy weights.
Agrium operates close to 1,500 retail agricultural centres in the U.S., Canada, South America and Australia under the brand names Crop Production Services (CPS), Crop Production Services Canada (CPSC), Agroservicios Pampeanos S.A. and Landmark.[4] Crop Production Services was acquired in 1994.
Agrium is Canadian controlled as is Crop Production Services. Five will get you ten that it practices this subterfuge throughout the USA.
It will take charges against the middle managers and those boys flipping the top honchos.
This is a crime.
What is this with “suing” people who break the law. Lock them up. Deny bail as “flight risks”. Prosecute.
And in engineering.
For industry generally, we just need to see the govt. enforcing the E-Verify law, or better still, make violations criminal offenses.
There would be some wholesale changes to hiring practices when the first business owner or corporate CEO got sent to the slam.
