Case could head to Supreme Court
In a win for gun rights advocates, a federal appeals court on Thursday decided to let stand a ruling that found it is unconstitutional to require firearms owners prove a good reason in order to be permitted to carry a concealed handgun in the nations capital.
The D.C. government had petitioned for the full D.C. Circuit to rehear the case en banc, but the court declined to revisit the 2-1 decision handed down earlier this year noting that none of the 10 judges who considered the matter requested a vote on it.

Huge win.
YES...Hopefully they take it to SCOTUS and get the ‘good reason’ shot down for the nation.
Here’s the “good reason”: The Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.
I believe the USSC let the 9th Circuit Peruta case stand.

The good news is now we have conflicting opinions in the Circuit Courts of Appeals and the USSC MUST resolve it.
There’s no way they can let these conflicting rulings stand.
And, we have Gorsuch on the bench now. Maybe that is why the Court didn’t decide Peruta.
They were waiting for a 9th Judge. And a 5th Conservative.
But will things change? Do will DC drag its feet. Congress has oversight and should rule that all state CCW valid in federal district, the District of Columbia.. then allow locals to have their own CCW.
Wow.
Excellent!
I hope the SCOTUS has the same reaction.
Hey, it’s the law. “sod off”
Does this mean that I won’t have to prove Just Cause if I apply for a CCW in Orange County, CA?
Thanks for your input! I was just wondering how this current decision would interface with Peruta. SCOTUS here we come (I hope).
Believe me, I do too!

I think it is a toss-up if they will.
If Trump appoints another justice...
They *will* take it.
They got a new female sheriff awhile back,, I don’t think she even issues concealed carry permits.
