Russia. Russia. Russia. - Apologies - I thought this should be posted even though the audio/text does not seem to be online yet.
This morning, NPR's Morning Edition said that Russia is trying to divide America, that they didn't care whether Hillary or Trump won the election so long as America ended up more divided. They then said that the NFL protest reaction is also driven by Twitter and that Russian bots are posting for both sides on Twitter to increase division in America.
They seemed to be backing off a bit on the idea that "Russia" wanted Trump and also suggesting that #TakeAKnee #BoycottNFL is a big story mainly because of Russia amplifying both sides. They said that Russia wanted Europe divided and America divided so they could retake the Soviet Union's old territory.
I thought this was an interesting enough spin on both "Russia" and the Ctrl-Left's disrespect for our flag, our anthem, and our country that it deserved a thread.
I wonder if this is a media trial balloon for a new take on the "Russia" mantra that seems to have been failing and fading.

The New Red Scare
I have no problem with the media taking a look at how Russia is influencing things on social media and otherwise. I don’t even mind them making conclusions about their motives. But it’s obvious to anyone with two braincells that Russia was the scapegoat bogeyman to try to make people think the election was tampered with, when in fact it the only thing the Russian’s did was affect/influence social conversation... just like so many other organizations and entities did both foreign and domestic... and had nothing to do with changing how votes were physically cast.
What is worst, there is a lot of evidence that there were illegal votes cast by people who were unreliable to vote, or students and groups crossing state lines, most of which could be argued for fraudulent goals.

And here I thought I really cared that they were disrespectful to the flag. Russians must have planted electrodes in my head. /s This really is the global warming playbook now every negative event is really caused by Russia.
Let them live in delusion.
NPR’s pseudo intellectualism has poisoned my extended family. Listening makes them smarter than and superior to those listening to FROGGY.
NPR ... NPR ... NPR!
NPR aligned itself as a mouthpiece, and everything else ‘oral’, for the Communist/Socialist/Liberal Left years ago.
This makes them ‘an apparatchik’. (a little Russian, there)
Knowing this, it discounts anything that they report.
As to the ‘Russia/football’ issue, the Russians I have known threw the years love the game, and are also befuddled with this ‘kneeling’.
This all is so ridiculous. The Russians must be laughing at us.
I think Glenn Beck had the same “talking point” on his radio show this week about the 2016 election.
The Russia Blamers and the Never Trumpers are birds of a feather who flock together.
Well Twitter certainly is full of instigators but lame stream media do their part instigating too. Almost no story I read shows what the president said first except if it was reported it was buried beyond the point where their most people read and the first part through the lens an inappropriate president remark. “Wouldn’t you love to see one of these NFL owners, when somebody disrespects our flag, to say get that son of a b**ch off the field right now. Out. He’s fired!” was just verbalizing what people thought anyway.
Like that general in “Dr. Strangelove” said, they’re trying to get to your precious bodily fluids. Ha Ha.
Nothing wrong with your electrodes. It’s just that the Russians are trying to manipulate them beyond their normal response.
> “the NFL protest”.
Seems like “the flag protest” would be more accurate. People are using NFL players and the NFL platform to protest the flag (and the ideals it represents).
Wow, Russia is still disseminating propaganda in the US, just like they’ve been doing continuously for at least half a century? And just like we do to them? Color me shocked.
Liberal hypocrite is an oxymoron...
I don’t know anything about Twitter, but IMO the Russians have nothing to do with this. Think more along the American left’s promotion of victimhood and ignorance.
That said, Americans themselves are the ones leading the complaints against the NFL kneelers.
