There are American women in my Twitter feed who think they are more oppressed than women in Saudi Arabia. I. Can't. Even." -- John Podhoretz
Never before have so many claimed to be so oppressed and mistreated over so little as Americans in 2017.
To hear some people tell it, Christians are ‘oppressed’ somehow.
You sure?
What about the people who are being forced to shut their businesses down because they don't want to join in a sinful celebration?
What about the people who are currently in court fighting for the right not to be forced to pay for baby murder?
There are oppressed people in America.
But they are not the ones protesting.
A great many panhandlers work a circuit of counties or states, live in a camper at a nearby park, make a living income.
In USA, oppressed means “gibsmedat!”
Blacks choose to be ignorant and keep the chips on their shoulders.
Women...I’d best not go there.
Asian immigrants’ demographics blow away these oppression claims.
Tagline.
Although I've had this thought for a while, I remembered it when I read a story about a local (Christian) food bank that was starting a "drive through" service. People (who were mostly immensely fat already) could simply drive up, be handed bags of groceries through their car window, and drive off.
Christians are called to help people. But is this the help they need? or are we actually causing harm?
Well, Id say heterosexual white males. And whites and Asians who are denied meritorious admissions, jobs, and promotions on the basis of some phony notion that diversity is a noble thing
People oppress themselves.
What about divorced men getting fleeced by their vengeful ex’s through a corrupt family court system?
“Your post brings to mind the panhandlers on streets and traffic intersections. Are we to give to them helping meet their needs or is their begging a get free money scheme perhaps to feed their addictions?”
These people have simply concocted a “tax free business.”
The thing is, there are people who are oppressed in America. But it is not because of their skin color.
Their oppressors are agents of the US government who are acting on behalf of groups who claim they are victims.
Tell Bart Riley that.
Feds admit harassing small Butte meat plant, but take no action
Hmm...then I rest my case. Actually, it’s a great statement:
“The oppressors are agents of the government acting on behalf of groups who claim to be victims.”
(Changed the wording slightly, tightened it up a little)
It is Leftist Privilege.
They are so self-important that every hint of a micro-aggression or non-celebration is far worse than the slavery, mayhem and genocide in the real world.
Playing the oppressed card is the new way to get attention.
There have been so many different types of cards played over the years that we all lose track. Race, financial incapacity, notability, misguided platform, women’s “rights,” disability rights, seniors, children.....the list is endless.
I just wish they’d come up with something new. Tired of the reruns.

There are no oppressed groups which is good, but there are plenty of oppressed people.
Ignoring that is as bad as taking imaginary incidents and blowing them out of proportion.
My neighbors attracted the wrath of the school security officer last year and he is continuing to harass them despite the fact they pulled their children out of his district.
There sure are oppressed people in America. Here in Illinois we are oppressed with unbearable taxes. Constantly raising income tax, business tax, property tax, gas tax, sales tax, sugar tax, utility tax, road tax, cell phone line tax, cable tax, and on and on and on. All the homes in Illinois are held as collateral for public union pensions. We are oppressed in Illinois.
“...the school security officer..is continuing to harass them despite the fact they pulled their children out of his district.”
That’s scary, as in `not in my America’ kind of scary.
They are talking about moving clear out of the area.
I would not blame them and if I had not been there when it started I would never have believed it.
It just takes one bureaucrat who feels you did not "respect their authority" and your life becomes hell on earth.
You did? That's racist!
