At 2:23 sheriff says “one shooter is down”,is he referring to one of two shooters? He won’t answer the question.
I have two problems with 3 of 3 “fourth floor muzzle flash” video’s I’ve seen.
One issue is timing. They may not line up with the sound of muzzle blast properly. I well understand the differences in speed of light versus speed of sound. I also understand reverberation, echo, and delay. The problem I have is the sound seems to preceed the flash. Neither sound propagation, nor echo, could account for that. I know my way around firearms, I know what slugs passing over my head, at hypersonic velocities, sound like. You hear the snap, of accumulated, delayed air vibration, shortly after the slug passes by, and you hear it well BEFORE the muzzle blast, at any appreciable distance from the firing position. Again, however...you do NOT hear it before the visible muzzle flash. Light travels just too fast.
The other problem is hotel glass. Everybody noticed the 32nd floor windows blown out, but nobody mentioned or imaged fourth floor broken glass.
I am NOT saying that firing from a lower floor didn’t happen. The videos are shaky, and it’s impossible for me to be sure. I am saying, that my gut feeling isn’t comfortable with and...certain...connection between what my eyes and ears report.
Any fair search for truth, then, looks for other...possible...explanations. I come up with a strobe light, either in a room, or reflected in the glass.
I have issues with the “reflected” theory. The angles on two of the three videos change. Angle of incidence equals angle of reflection., and the visible flash doesn’t seem to move across the reflective surface. In support of reflected light, Vegas is a “neon city.” Also...the closer the source of such a light is to the reflected surface, the less it will seem to travel, to a moving observer. Even so...it appears very steady, in 3 of 3 videos.
That would suggest a light source inside the building. Any nightclubs on the fourth floor or thereabouts?
No conclusions either way. I am proceeding as if there was, and was not, shooting from a lower floor. Until I have more info, both possibilities are viable.
Fox reported approx. 1pm today that perp was a former letter carrier and former IRS employee. That could be why he has no public footprint. Doesn’t explain how he became a millionaire.

did you catch the soundbite that Paddock worked as letter carrier and IRS employee some years back? Could explain no footprint, but the IRS bit makes me real curious, seeing how he got to be a millionaire afterwards.
All I can do is report what I hear and see. Latest is Sheriffs dept. convinced in an audio report that there was an additional shooter "on the 29th floor."
With all this conflicting stuff floating around first thing that comes to my mind is disinformation. Trouble is the whole thing is so convoluted we don't know what is real and what is garbage.
I also think that it's possible his gal pal had a part in the entire thing if not a bigger part than we know. This guy seems like the kind of guy who would dress casually and meet friends at a rally for libs out for the day engaging in the sport of bashing us,maybe holding up a sign or two but to take the leap that he buys 100k worth of hard to find military hardware and is the sole shooter of 500 people is a leap too far for me.
Jason Goodman now suggesting that a stock sale of MGM through Tracinda corp. the holding co. of MGM grand may have been effected by the shooting/massacre, its hundreds of millions,of dollars effected.

Rodguy, I think I tracked down the “29th Floor Shooter” mixup.
On the Scanner Video...~1.5 hour version...
Very early on, an officer checks in from floor 29 of the Mandalay. Says he plans to proceed upward, with a team of 4. Says he has audible contact with the shooter, somewhere above him, close.
Dispatch, stressed, reads back, “Floor 29, team of 4, moving up” or some such.
A bit later the same officer checks in saying, he’s on floor 32, along with the shooter.
A bit later, he checks in again, seeming to indicate that he is back on 29, with one casualty. Both he and the dispatch are not quite in sync with each other at this point. Further, the officer doesn’t really explain the casualty until a bit later.
Things have really heated up by this point. You have brass trying to set up at CP, you have a lot more officers checking in with casualties, both civilian and some Le. You have somebody on the network inadvertently keying their microphone, stepping on a significant number of Transmissions.
The officer reports back in from floor 32, apparently indicating that his team is about to make a move on the shooter.
This does not actually take place, but somewhere in there, we get to what I believe is the root, of the floor 29 shooter reports. The officer in charge of the team mentions that the casualty he reported earlier is a hotel security guard who approached the shooters door and who was then shot in the knee.
Apparently, the team of four moving up through the hotel, linked up with the wounded security guard, and the exact details of that situation became garbled, and generated reports of a shooter on floor 29.
Different subject. Shades of Nixon and Watergate. There’s a fair-sized gap in this scanner replay video, a period of absolute silence, during which the graphics which had been displayed on the video from the very start are also missing in action. This Gap seems to coincide with the general time frame when the SWAT team blew the door and made entry.
I don’t necessarily have a problem with a decision by law enforcement that security needs are best served by blacking out certain Communications. If this is the way that the video posted on YouTube was uploaded, if law enforcement imposed to blackout on the scanner stream, fine, but...
That doesn’t explain why the videos graphics also disappeared during that time frame. It looks as if the video was altered after it was uploaded to YouTube. If so I have to wonder if there’s any connection between that and the numbers of videos that are just disappearing from YouTube enough that I’m not the only one to notice it. It’s being commented on in a number of places. The strangest thing of all, videos I know that have been deleted, are ones that specifically support the mainstream storyline. I could see disappearing all of the fourth floor muzzle flash videos for instance. I do not understand why 32nd floor muzzle flash videos would disappear.
I have not seen any discussion of the anfo in the shooter’s possession, beyond the reports that he had it.
I have seen exactly two reports, besides my own observation, that the shooter book two rooms on the 32nd Floor not one. Otherwise, there is a noteworthy silence on this subject.
Unlike many others, I’m not passing judgement in support of or in opposition to any particular version of the events. This is a major mess. Casualty wise this is a much bigger mess in the Boston Marathon bombing. Hollywood exuberance notwithstanding, Mark Wahlberg’s motion picture on the Marathon bombing sheds an awful lot of light on the type and sheer volume of confusion that has to be in play on much every side at this point in time.
I definitely have some questions. I’ll go as far as to say I have some pretty significant concerns. But I also have to recognize that we aren’t going to get a fully coherent story the series of events... Perhaps ever. Definitely not right away. Waiting and watching, eyes and ears wide open.

I do not disbelieve that this 65 year old man could pull off what they say he has. Legally or not. Physically. Logistically. Financially. Given what we already know, emotionally.
I also do not blindly believe that he actually did do all this, single-handed.
I reserve judgment until I have more information and until then, I intend to proceed as if both ends of the spectrum are equally plausible. Once again, waiting and watching with both eyes open.

(This shows you just how easy it was to view the concert area. It looks much closer than what you would expect to be.)

Post 1333 video (reversed) shows the massive column in the corner of the master bedroom. Behind that, as also shown on the hotel’s own floorplan for those suites, is the sole window, in the entire suite, that faces east.
From the exterior views, the outhernmost shooting position, as evidenced by the blown out window, is another six windows,south of the bedroom’s single, east facing window.
The room service cart shown in floor 32 pix is in front of room 134. This is, I believe, the room with the second blown out window. Unless...the hotel’s floorplan is wrong, and/or there’s a connecting door to the room housing that window, neither of which show on the floorplan.
I don’t know where the guns were. I don’t know how many there,were. Official Vegas police updates have been very sloppy on this subject. Tonight’s update has the number at 19, down from 23 earlier. Plus maybe a handgun. Not impressed with their counting skills. Wonder what else they miscounted?
On the possible muzzle flashes from lower floors...this video portrays a strobe of some kind in that location, before the shooting began. Convincing...if not faked.

A, the floorplan is wrong, or,
B. the floorplan is reversed, as video in post 1333 may indicate. See the single door opening to the south (up in this image), in the upper right corner? Where does that go? Towards a blown out shooter’s window, IF this floorplan is reversed.
The pix in the hallway, with the blown out left upper door, right door intact, show a certain space between that wall and the door to room 134, with the cart in front of it. That door would lead to the southernmost blown out window, if the floorplan is NOT reversed.
Eyeballing the actual distance between the 135 double door w wall, and the room 134 single door behind the cart, is a tossup for me. Can’t call it, can’t say if this floorplan, or the Post 1333 video is reversed (as if in “selfie mode.)
What I CAN say, for certain...the leftmost blown out window in the pic above is NOT in the room detailed in the accompanying floorplan. Period.

Its the only thing that makes sense. I’ve learned to go with my first gut instincts when it comes to these attacks. We need to take his age out of the equation. Most of the crazy radical liberals are baby boomer age. Just look at the rats in congress.
