It ranks up there with "stupid tricks that get you kicked off the rifle range".
I guess what I'm really saying is, I could care less if they banned it, but on the other hand it's the principle of the thing. Let 'em ban this stupid and meaningless thing and they'll feel empowered to go after something I care about next. Their thirst for regulation won't be quenched with one measly victory.
So out of 10,000 potential owners of AR-15s...how many would actually have the bump-stock? Three? I don’t see where this goes. Maybe out of 300-million people, this affects around 10,000 folks max?
Do we care? For the purpose of proposed legislation, I do not. It's irrelevant. We must talk only of which current "gun control" laws to repeal first, and how to most expeditiously repeal them all.
If you give them a little they'll expect more and more and more....
i bump fire my Glock 19 .....took me about 10 minutes to master it....
It affects all of us. Banning "bump stocks" promotes the narrative that physical objects cause crime, and that banning physical objects prevents crime. Both ideas are false and utterly risible.
The ATF spokesperson said he had bump stocks on twelve rifles.
Yes, the urge to buy a couple of them and just have them on a shelf even if we never intend to even mount them. Prohibition pretty universally generates a reaction on how to neutralize the prohibition.
Be careful...this may be a ploy to outlaw all semi-autos. You don’t need a special stock to bump-fire. All you need to bump fire is a rubber band, or a finger and a belt loop. Very inaccurate and a big waste of ammo.
This embarrassment to all putzes out there will never learn. He was my 4th disrict congressman from conservative eastern Washington when the dems passed the assault weapons ban. He was voted out in 94 because of it.
Between him and Patty Murray, they don’t have the combined brain power to pour piss out of a boot.
One can be pretty accurate using the slide stock.
Bump stock sales will go through the roof. Everybody will want one before they’re banned.
A bump stock is hardly military-style weaponry. Leave it to libtards to not know what they speak of.
Interesting stuff, thanks. I watched them all.
They inspired me to dedicate a song to Gov. Jay (with apologies to the Spinners) in anticipation of the day that they come for our rubber bands.
The Rubberband Man’s Rubberband Ban
Rubberband man, rubberband ban
How much of this stuff do he think we can stand?
So much rhythm, grace, and debonair for one man, Lord
And then he had the nerve to twiggle his left toe
Slip it through his knee, got the feeling in his head, y’all
Aw, come on, baby
Yesterday I did a quick web search for the SlideFire brand "bump" stocks (there are competing products as well). Every vendor appears to be sold out.
Frankly, I'm finding it difficult to use the 2nd Amendment to counter outlawing devices that convert legal semiautomatics (which we must protect at all costs) to function essentially like weapons that have been tightly restricted since the NFA of 1934.
LAs Vegas unequivocally demonstrated the firepower-boost functionality of "BumpFire" stocks. (I was surprised at how effectively that maniac was able to make them work...)
Face it, folks: rather than having to fight another "Assault Weapons Ban" assault, it may be strategically prudent to "toss the gun-grabbers an indefensible bone", by yielding up -- after a fight that strengthens the overall 2nd Amendment and our rights to semiautos -- such conversion devices to be prohibited.

How we fight the (certain to follow) clamor for feeding device restrictions is another issue -- and a tough one, following Paddock's misuse of them... :-(

Unless someone has a better idea (beyond shouting, "SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED!!") -- I suggest we consider (reluctantly, but in good faith) offering "BumpFire" stocks up as a sacrificial lamb or scapegoat...
Does anyone else have a better strategy?
Great, now I have to go buy one of those.
Liberals are always making me spend more money that I would do on my own.
Inslee is another one who would not surprise me to step into the DNC nomination ring.
Give the left one french fry and the next thing you know, they’re eating your lunch.
Better strategy? Yes. Tell them to go **** themselves, then resume reminding President Trump and the critters that we want national carry reciprocity.
Expected. Even though you can bump fire practically any semi auto rifle without a bump fire stock.
