I still think its plausible that Paddock was a rogue gun/weapons dealer who used large hotel suites for customer meetings. His meeting at the Mandalay Bay Sunday evening went sideways, and his “customer” turned into a “terrorist”.

So the "customer" fired shots through the door to injure the security guard, killed Paddock and then what? Climbed out the window to get away?

Don’t be silly. He flew off on his unicorn.

No:

10:05 p.m.: First shots fired

10:15 p.m.: Final shots fired

10:17 p.m.: First officers arrive on the 32nd floor

10:55 p.m.: Officers arrive in a stairwell near the gunman’s room

11:20 p.m.–11:27 p.m.: A SWAT team finally breaks into the shooter’s room

Seems to me there are enough gaps for escape. Guest elevators, stairwells, staff elevators. Probably went up a few floors, then down. Just a theory.
