Probably, but that big post in the way might prevent him from getting a good swing at window.
This guy was supposed to be very smart, and judging by all the pre-planning, if he thought he needed a 2nd window smashed on that side of the building for any reason...one of those other windows in the same large room would make far more sense than in the other room next door.
He had to have known he didn't have unlimited time so having to go into the other room through the door would be costly in terms of time. Furthermore, he most likely didn't have the video set up in that other room to monitor the hallway.
The smashed out window in that other room next door just really doesn't add up.
