I remember one of the cops who rushed the room telling 60 Minutes in the interview last night that he did not notice a head wound on the dead suspect.
The leaked photo looked like he shot himself through the mouth, but maybe it was a chest wound and all the blood we saw in the leaked photo came up out of the mouth.
And tons of reasons that do, namely, they lied for over week.
Ok… so let me get this straight. According to Lombardo’s statement, Jesus Campo is at the shooter’s door before the shooting started. I’m assuming that this was in response to something else like the glass having been knocked out. This would seem to suggest that some time (say 5 to 10 minutes) had elapsed between the knockout of the window(s) and when Campo gets to the floor. He gets shot (supposedly when he seen on the remote monitoring system) but stays on the floor informing his security dept. of what happened and that he had been shot..... no doubt he had a two-way radio on him. Security and perhaps others (but then, perhaps not since shooting hadn’t started yet) inform the police….. Campo is still on the floor when the police arrive but Lomardo says that they didn’t realize that Campo had been shot. It sounds implausible that the security department wouldn’t have told them that so perhaps the police were responding to other information. Regardless, in between when he informs his security department he has been shot and when the police arrive, he knocks on the other doors on the floor and has all the other guests evacuate. Does that make sense? How long after Campo got shot did the shooting start out the window? One assumes that it happened almost immediately. And Campo is evacuating guests with all that shooting going on after he had been shot? That doesn’t sound plausible…. How long after his security department called the police were they actually on the floor? This new information almost makes it seem like the police were there on a timeline that was also much less than previously indicated….
One other question that I haven’t seen answered yet. How did the shooter get into the Aussie’s room next door?

They didn’t necessarily lie. It could very well be how they understood it at that time. Further investigation clarified it.
Or, they hoped to smoke someone out by releasing misinformation. That’s an effective investigating tool.
We don’t know. Having been involved in many investigations I know full well, things change, and something you believed to be set in stone one day turns out to be wrong the next.
The smoke screen makes good sense especially considering ISIS claiming responsibility could be reason to let it linger.

This is one hell of a change of the narrative. The initial narrative was that the guard was shot after he approached the door after Paddock started shooting. But then in viewing the tapes of the floors, investigators may have realized there was a huge discrepancy in what the guard said, and they saw that he was shot BEFORE Paddock started shooting at the general public. If this is true, it is a huge discrepancy, HUGE.

This thread’s poster says the security guard was not so hurt that he could not help evacuate people from bystander rooms until police insisted he seek medical attention.

Chief Lombardo came out this eve stating big time line changes. More so in the sequence rather than the seconds.
Something isn’t right and he knows it.
Ok... if that’s the case, then somewhere between say 10 to 15 minutes elapsed between when something happened that made it necessary for Campo to go to the floor and when shooting started. Why the lengthy delay? One would assume that with all that planning that the shooter did, once the window was knocked out, shooting would have started almost immediately, no?
And what door was ajar that put it into alarm mode so that Campo was told to go to the floor in the first place? I had understood that shooter had barricaded the stairwell doors so one assumes they would have been closed. And his own door would most certainly have been closed....And how was Campo evacuating guests on the floor with the stairwell doors closed? Surely they weren’t all in the hallway waiting for an elevator, were they?
