I wasn’t too thrilled with Pence either, knowing that he caved immediately to perverts in Indiana.

I’m not a “fag”, but I just didn’t like how Pence went out of his way to support Paul Ryan. And isn’t he supposed to be best buds with Flake?

Why are you evading the question?

Should I ask the question a 4th time?

I love Sheriff Clarke but HATE that damned hat he wears lately when being interviewed-——he looks like an ass.

That’s true. The country clubbers have long had disdain for conservatives. In particular towards Goldwater and Reagan.

But I was under the impression that Nick was talking about the so-called “new right” (Bannon, Cernovich, Nolte, Milo, etc) not the country clubbers (or Rockefeller Republicans, or GOPe if you prefer).

Did you ask me a question three times? Not finding it. Please ask it a fourth time, yes.

I must admit that at the time the choice was made, I agreed with Bannon. Pence seemed to be a RINO, though a very decent one. He has turned out to be a much better choice than I expected. At least so far and by what we know. He certainly seems less squishy than George H. W. Bush as Reagan’s VP.

We are living in this swamp BECAUSE GHW Bush moved Reagan's conservative agenda just right of center.

I honestly believe that if Reagan had chosen someone more like himself we would never have had Clinton as President and Gore running against W in 2000. W sold himself as being like Reagan but he was more like his papa. Look at the hubris of Jeb's "it's my turn" attitude in this last cycle. They are all policy nerds who tell us they know the details that make the swamp work which is WHY they are qualified, but the flaw in that statement is that the swamp doesn't work for "The People" only for the modern day carpetbaggers who live in DC. Just look at the millions these SOB's have squirreled away since they've gotten to The Swamp.

I believe that Pence became a go along to get along kind of guy somewhere along the way and he's been in DC too long. He's friends with LYIN RYAN and I'm AFRAID that he's already been compromised. My instincts say "Pass" on this guy.

We need a fighter and a strategist, not an "experienced lawmaker" who will cave to "work together" and giving up on our goals or move on, decrying quote, "I tried" when the truth is he really just didn't want to fight for us.

Yup. That’s what I think, too. Pence is a snake in the grass. I’m trying to come up with a name of someone - anyone - who would’ve been an excellent choice. Someone loyal.

I hope I’m wrong about Pence; he’s supposed to be a Christian. Sabotaging your boss, the President, would be decidedly un-Christian.

Thanks...I agree with you. I've been waiting 29 years for the RINOS TO get the boot but good. I'm not going to be talked into electing Mike Pence for a third Trump term and lose all that ground again with another version of papa BUSH because we have to SETTLE for that.

With Bannon out there leading the way to help us primary these RINO swamp traitors, like Luther Strange, my hope is that we can continue that new tradition in case Trump doesnt throw Pence overboard so we know how to do it in 2024.

I am with you on Pence and have been so since beginning. Pence smoooooth as silk. And corporatist and globalist Rino as any Republican. I think of him waiting in the wings for the big coup.

Thanks....I just don’t want to see us get bamboozled again by the carpetbaggers sales pitch for a Pence presidency from the swamp.

This is not directed at Bannon, but many of these alt lite Trumpsters used to be very comfortable on the left, and don’t have a high regard for any religious people.

They definitely saw Milo as a way to break through and attract other disenfranchised people on the left who’d appreciate his edgy satire. Milo is a performer, first and foremost... and why he has writers who write Milo columns and books.

Too bad Sarah Palin wasn't his running mate....that's a dream team. She's the only one I've ever seen a RINO chose because THEY needed to get the (conservative) base to come out to vote.

She could learn a lot working under someone like Trump. It would have the swamp pulling their hair and scratching their eyes out.

Explain to me how being nice and compromising has worked out for America in the past few decades?

I can’t. It hasn’t.

But there are hills to die on and hills not to. There are more hills for us NOT to compromise on right now, but picking Pence was not a huge mistake so far, even though he isn’t ideal.
