Female is a sex, not a gender.
Learning to be prepared, to be a good citizen and person, to learn useful skills is something important for both boys and girls. You don’t go to scouting to learn to be womanly. You go to learn to be more capable and a better person.
When my daughter entered Girl Scouts we were both disgusted by the wussy program. If the Boy Scouts are stepping up to provide a serious program for girls too, then more power to them. It worked in the Explorer Scouts for decades. I’m living proof.
