Ah so Rush is bothered by talking. Interesting turn of events.

how often did The Hill cite Rush’s comments on Obama during his 8 years in office? —— censoring myself. But I would like MSM to meet Nagan’s Lucille :)

Rush is wrong on this issue.

President Trump is about the only voice that push back against the left and their attempt to change this nation.

President Trump is using the Bully Pulpit as a way to show middle America that they are not alone, and that all they have to do is work together to win against the politically correct movement.

I admire Rush almost more than anyone in the communication business, but his comments about President Trump’s influence over the NFL was a stretch to say the least and I fear it fueled the fire of Trump’s enemies.

Rush was applauding Trump for doing it - day after day, week after week.

It worked. The NFL is caving.

NOW he has a problem with it?

Trump was just giving voice to his voters. He didn’t “demand” the NFL do anything as POTUS. He said, “They should have made Kaepernick stand” because it’s the right thing to do and they’ll lose fans and money if they don’t

Certainly within his rights to speak out on an issue and give voice to us.

Now that Trump has beaten the NFL, he needs to turn full attention to Hollywood. How many more producers have raped young women and men out there? Needs to stop and FBI needs to investigate.

It is a bit unnerving to see Limbaugh, of all people, conflating Power and influence.

Rush was hardcore anti-Trump even after the convention. Many here got tired of his insults towards Trump and his supporters. So much so that we turned him off and no longer commented on the Rush FR thread. I guess Rush doesn’t think Trump has 1st Amendment rights. Rush returns to form

Rush claims be is right 98 percent of the time. Tomorrow he should say this was a rare srcew up. He needs another vacation...he’s off the deep end on this.

So Rush doesn’t think Trump has 1st Amendment rights and should just shut up.

> “ I am very uncomfortable with the president of the United States being able to dictate the behavior and power of anybody.”

If this story from ‘The Hill’ is accurate, then Rush completely misses the point and should perhaps consider retirement.

The President is NOT dictating, he is DEFENDING the symbols of American freedom.

Far more Americans from chaotic times of injustice have defended the symbols of American freedom than the spoiled rich crybabies of today. One needs only to read about the life of Sergeant William Carney to know true courage in the face of massive injustice.

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3588995/posts

It is the William Carney’s of today that need to speak up, not these shameful spoiled ingrates that are paraded before the American public as if they are deserving praise. They deserve SCORN! And the President is expressing this sentiment on behalf of Americans everywhere, leaving a stamp on history that such ingratitude is misplaced and is not mainstream.

Yup, Rush is way off on this. He is only human though and can’t be right about everything.

Not everyone “gets” it, especially the majority of media. It is a vision many Americans have about the country - the Constitution. The relationship between POTUS and the American people.

By making this a political issue, Trump cleverly maneuvered the NFL into clarifying their position on whether players should be allowed to express political opinions on the field. The NFL is quite clear, and rightly so, that players should not wear any visible political material, such as campaign stickers or MAGA hats, but they are not clear about physical actions that have political meaning. Kneeling during the anthem is the most obvious example. The “black power” raised fist is another.

The NFL actually has no choice but to crack down on the kneeling, as they watch their ratings collapse.

Too bad Rush isn’t able to see this, but he’s GOPe to the core.

I am not going to take the first ever story in The Hill quoting Rush Limbaugh favorably at face value.

Trump had to defend the flag.

Every patriotic American could have stood up and walked out of the stadium on seeing any player disrespecting the flag and sent the message

People want ‘the itger guy’ to do the dirty work. Now people want the government to do it.

It IS too bad the president had to do this. Rush could have been more vocal about it over the past year

Maybe because I’m a thought parent - it was obvious to me as soon as Kaepernick didn’t get suspended day one by the league, Then the stadium audience didn’t get up and leave - it was going to get worse.

Obama has fueled hatred of this country, so has the media.

Someone has to defend the flag

I heard Rush on this yesterday. He was thinking out loud. He has a point but it was not worth expressing

Someone has to defend the flag. NFL fans like to think of themselves as men. But they’ve been pussies on this they have not defended the flag. Not the way they should

As usual, the press totally misses the point Rush is making, and spins the quotes to say the opposite of what was really said. Here’s the whole story to see what Rush said IN CONTEXT: https://www.rushlimbaugh.com/daily/2017/10/11/its-nfl-owners-job-not-the-presidents-to-control-their-employees/ Note that even just the title of the piece tells the opposite of what The Hill says: “It’s NFL Owners’ Job — Not the President’s — to Control Their Employees”

Swamp dwellers getting to El Rushbo?

Trump did not dictate anything to anybody—he set a bar of behavior that every real American subscribes to, and as usual, became the voice of everyman.

If Roger Goodell and the pussified owners were paying attention—this is exactly what the American NFL fans have been saying for three weeks.

These multimillionaire morons have been deliberately trying to ignore their own consumers to advance a cop killing agenda—and that is extremely unsettling.

They were OK with losing billions for the cause.

Well, screw them and good riddnace.

Piss on my values and my country and I kick you out of my house.

I for one am happy that we have a President who will defend our National Anthem and Flag. It’s the first time in a long time we’ve had such a President.

I listened to the piece in question (happened to be in the car driving). They are making much more out of this than there is, and they are leaving out a LOT of dialogue. Why are so many here gobbling it up?
