CBS Local ^ | 10/11/17

SACRAMENTO (CBS SF) — California Gov. Jerry Brown warns that catastrophic wildfires will keep ripping through the state as the climate warms.

**SNIP**

He said a warming climate has contributed to catastrophic wildfires. “That’s the way it is with a warming climate, dry weather and reducing moisture.” said Brown. “These kind of catastrophes have happened and they’ll continue to happen, and we have to be prepared to do everything we can to mitigate.”

The governor has positioned himself as a leader in the fight against climate change.

Poor forestry management is what most contributes to wildfires.

ABSOLUTELY!!!

Arizona learned the same lesson the hard way back in the early 2000’s. For many years we had tree-hugging @sses in government (Ex: Governor Butchie Napolitano) and her lesbian friends in the Sierra Club running the show. We had massive build-ups of falling trees and branches on the forest floors, no thinning of very dense forests at all. The wildfire fuel building up on the forest floors was unprecedented.

We had three massive wild fires burning nearly one million acres in 2002 and 2011. Then FINALLY Arizonans rose up and demanded better forest management from our state and federal government. In all of this, the elitist lesbian @ssholes in the Arizona Sierra Club were the biggest villains. People were so angry that the Sierra Club had to shut down their Phoenix office and go into hiding for a while.

Now, thanks to two good Republican governors and to publicly shaming/attacking the Sierra Club, we now have good forest resource management. The Arizona Sierra Club was told to sit down, shut up, and stay out of the way. Things have been much better ever since then.

Ahhh, that Moonbeam, don’cha just love it when he goes off his meds.....what a hoot.

Plus think of all the brain damage from a LIFETIME of smoking weed, eating mushrooms, snorting cocaine, etc. Moonbeam is nothing more than a doped-up hippie flower child from the 60’s. The only thing different about him now is that he lost all his hair and he wears a suit.

How can you tell when he’s off his meds? Seems like he’s ALWAYS off his meds.

I was afraid they were trying to burn out all the Trump voters in the state.

Aside: every time I see that picture, and Kim’s grin, I just know he’s thinking he’s gonna get some extra marital sex right after that event.

If he were over here, he'd probably only be able to get some from a truck stop ho.

"climate change is also responsible for:
* Oakland shooting deaths
* California deficit
* Traffic jams on the 405 and 10
* Halitosis
* Rising Expectations
* Blade Runner 2049 disappointing box office performance
* harvey weinstein’s behavior
* Hugh Hefner’s death
AAAANNNNDDDD..... (*drum roll*) * hiLIARy clinton’s loss!!!"

But there's an upside. The grapes are really big this year.

It never rains in California, it was even the name of a song that was popular when Governor Moonbeam was, well governor so he ought to know Southern California is a considered a DESERT topography long before man ever got there.

Got on board a westbound seven forty seven
Didn't think before deciding what to do
Ooh, that talk of opportunities, TV breaks and movies
Rang true, sure rang true
Seems it never rains in southern California
Seems I've often heard that kind of talk before
It never rains in California, but girl don't they warn ya
It pours, man it pours
Out of work, I'm out of my head
Out of self respect, I'm out of bread
I'm underloved, I'm underfed, I wanna go home

It never rains in California
but girl don't they warn ya
It pours, man it pours

Will you tell the folks back home, I nearly made it
Had offers but don't know which one to take
Please don't tell 'em how you found me
Don't tell 'em how you found me
Gimme a break, give me a break

Seems it never rains in southern California
Seems I've often heard that kind of talk before
It never rains in California, but girl don't they warn ya
It pours, man it pours
Seems it never rains in southern California
Seems I've often heard that kind of talk before

Great song and even better Climatologist than Gov. Brown.

Heard the same thing this time PG&E - there will be a lot of liability for property and death on this one if that is true

I think this used to fall under “Acts of God”

So PG&E may skate(I dunno Cali politics.)

Notice how there has been almost no news about what started the big burn in Napa. A pal in Southern Calif says the local news is suggesting illegal pot growers started at least one of the major fires.

Bulll decades of stupid government policies have created the mess that is California.... No controlled burning..so when a natural fire breaks out its worse... no money spent on infrastructure, building water treatment and other facilities.... yet the population has more than doubled... and you run out of water... etc etc etc..

California’s problems are man made, but they aren’t climate change.
