Yeah, those would cause issues. And then there are the nuclear power plants. How long would they last before meltdown?

well the nuclear plants have backup generators and backup backup generators.

They would end up shutting the nuclear plants down before the generators ran out of fuel. They would probably start the shutdown as soon as the grid starting having issues. So I don’t think there would be a meltdown.

But that’s another source of energy that is now offline and will be until the grid is repaired sufficiently.
