Last week on BBC's "Hardtalk," actress Jane Fonda was asked by show host Stephen Sackur if inside her she had a "sense of regret" for her 1972 visit to North Vietnam at the height of the Vietnam War.
Fonda denied having any regret about the visit itself and argued she had justifications for the trip.

The [only] part she said she had regretted was appearing with the anti-aircraft and looking that she was against American soldiers and "siding with the enemy," which she said wasn't the case.

I'm glad you brought this up because, as I read this article, I thought I remembered her apologizing a few years ago for her activities in North Vietnam. Just shows, you can't believe a thing she says.

I remeber reading of an interview with her many years ago in which she stated that posing for that photo was the biggest mistake of her life.
Finally, something I can agree with her.
At this point I would be very surprised if she has a grave as her permanent room temp residence. Even with a 24 hour guard, the chances for a post-mortem shower would be too great. So my guess is the flame and who knows what happens afterwards.

I read a book years ago that claimed there was some discussion about having her tried for treason at the time. According to what I read the thing that made everyone back off was respect for her father.
