When they recruit "indigenous" students to attend Swarthmore, will they have them take a DNA test to make sure that they have no European ancestry?
Based on an informal survey I did over 50 years ago, approximately 20% of ‘white’ students at a major state university had some American Indian ancestry that they knew of. Studies done even earlier indicated that an even higher percentage of ‘black’ (American Negro, not recent immigrants from Africa or the Caribbean) had known American Indian ancestry. And current studies indicate a very high percentage of European and African ancestry among accepted members of Indigenous American Tribal peoples in the US.
