The Mormons, a major scout sponsor group, are backing out entirely. I don’t blame them.
Here is Rex Tillerson, Sec. of State, and what he did to destroy the Boy Scouts.
It was Rex Tillerson who lobbied to end the “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy of the BSA. According to a Dallas News story:
Tillerson was instrumental in lobbying the Scouts’ board to accept openly gay youths, said John Hammer, president of the Washington think tank Center for Strategic and International Studies, of which Tillerson is a board member.

“Mr. Tillerson served as president of the Boy Scouts from 2010 to 2012. In 2013, the scouting organization voted to extend membership to openly gay youths. Mr. Tillerson was “instrumental” in lobbying the board to make that change, the Dallas Morning News reported in 2014.
Two years after allowing openly gay members, the Boy Scouts lifted the ban on openly gay leaders and employees. Individual units can still consider religious criteria, including sexuality, in choosing troop leaders. Mr. Tillerson still sits on the Boy Scouts’ national executive board.

This is more a sign of desperation given the failure to defend of the leadership. Their are hemorrhaging real support and real donations.
The girl scouts are furious for the competition.
The moral parents are furious for the failure to promote the moral core of future responsible men.

I believe in intellectual honesty.
Accordingly, I think the boy Scouts should change their name.
They aren’t really the Boy Scouts if they allow girls into it.
Change their name to Youth group USA or something else which won’t identify them as a boys group. If they aren’t going to be for boys anymore, they should be intellectually honest enough to delete the name.
The Boy Scouts are a shadow of what they used to be.
I guess the queers and pedo’s need more kids to pick from, and to abuse in the Scouts.... I am speechless and dumbfounded that seemingly NO ONE will stand up to this vile BS and say not only no, but HELL NO!!

My sons had a great time scouting. Our troops emphasis was on camping and they camped and or did major hikes at least once a month. So many experiences we could not have provided. One made eagle.
Well we can mourn the loss of what was a good organization. Or we can make and support others. Trail Life, etc. still good, worthy of our support. It’s where id out my sons if I had minor boys any more.

given the recent Hollywood scandals (plural) for predation of actors and actresses of all ages and genders, it seems creating a new hunting/recruiting ground for evil is just stuck of stupid.
In Canada, we have the Boy Scouts, and the Girl Guides. The Boy Scouts have been admitting girls for some time now. The Girl Guides remain exclusively for girls. There is no exclusively boy’s organization. How does that compare with the situation in the USA now?
Who runs the Boy Scouts? A board of directors? Why did they decide this? How do directors get on the board to be in position to make decisions?
Sounds like lots of Mormom church based troops are leaving. The scouts may well see their membership dwindle. Time Will tell.

Perhaps this will be like the NFL where in this case the children will be free to find other pursuits...
As a woman who had 3 brothers in Scouts, one who attained Eagle, I think this whole thing is disgusting. I hope there’s another organization who can replace them.
