Great wealth acquired thru ill-gotten gains, one can’t let up the aggressive control & manipulation of others lest the truth come out or retribution be perpetrated. In that scenario, further acquisition of wealth becomes unavoidable: having it may be irrelevant, but the act of acquiring more is an existential imperative.
