"the federal government doesn't effectively plan for these recurring costs"

IOW the gubmint flood and crop insurance programs would be illegal in any state, if run by a private company.

I think they should pay trillions and cool down the sun or just set off the Yellowstone caldera.

Get rid of the GAO. Let members and committees of Congress get outside and competing analysis, on anything and everything, instead of pretending the GAO is non-partisan. Let multiple opinions and sources have their say instead of pretending the GAO is some sort of supreme authority with no peer.

I feel your anger. They are personally costing me over 5k a year for this carbon tax Alberta has now, and that’s not including additional costs for groceries, fuel, and goods.

It’s a scam, and I have yet to meet a true believer in climate change, yet we’re all supposed to accept that the science is settled and move on and accept our chains.

This is not going to end well, this among many other issues piling on, none of it will end well.

Stupid and irrational report by self-declared "non-partisan" swampers. All the authors of such irrelevant and incompetent drivel should be fired and fined.
What the report lies by omission is that with the mad weather caused by climate warming change disruption chaos, there is much much less weather related deaths now than 50 years ago. Death count or death rate per 1000 is the only relevant number for comparison and trend.

climate change is already costing U.S. taxpayers billions of dollars each year

Yeah... and most of it is probably funding for people to study it and keep writing new climate "models".

Inflation alone will probably account for the overall cost increase in present year $$$$$$.

How many billions a year do illegals cost the American taxpayer?
>

How many TRILLIONS does extra-constitutional\illegal GOVT cost the taxpayers (This coming ‘budget’? ~4.5T)?

How many BILLIONS does govt red-tape\bureaucracy\graft\inefficiency\etc. cost American taxpayers (just look at the cost of compiling\filing said taxes) per year?

A government that bailed out GM and investment banks at the tune of 500 billion, and 35 billion is budget busting? LOL.

Classical Marxism. Let’s play the game of only adding up the costs of global warming, but give no value to the benefits, if it even reasonably possible to assign monetary value to it.

How much has the US Government spent on this fraud? Don’t forget all the universities and the Gregg Mann’s out there across the world.

Delingpole: Now 400 Scientific Papers in 2017 Say ‘Global Warming’ Is a Myth

When I reported earlier this year on the 58 scientific papers published in 2017 that say global warming is a myth the greenies’ heads exploded.

Since then, that figure has risen to 400 scientific papers.

Can you imagine the misery and consternation and horror this is going to cause in the corrupt, rancid, rent-seeking world of the Climate Industrial Complex?

I can. It will look something like this.

Just to be clear, so the greenies can’t bleat about being misrepresented, here is what these various papers say:
