Funny. Nobody mentions it, but it was also GOP funded. They were trying to take down Trump in the primary and then they sold it to the Dems.

The Dems changed the focus to Russia; the original GOP-solicited investigation was into Trump's businesses, which came up with nothing "usable" and was dropped.

' the original GOP-solicited investigation was into Trump's businesses, which came up with nothing "usable" and was dropped.'

Not true. The 'alfa' lawsuit says exactly that the 'GOP' hired out Steele to do the research. They were looking into the russia connection and such. They dropped the info after Trump won the primary. The Dems later picked it up.

The entire point was that the GOP first did the dossier.

the Defendants were initially hired to conduct this opposition research by Republican Party political opponents of candidate Trump. Those political opponents sought to gather discrediting information about candidate Trump to thwart his presidential run, including any connections he might have to Russian businesses or Russia’s government. To perform that research, the Defendants hired a private investigator—a former British intelligence officer named Christopher Steele, who operated through an entity known as Orbis Business Intelligence Limited (“Orbis”).

the Defendants were engaged by Republican Party political opponents of Donald Trump prior to his nomination as the Republican presidential candidate. The Defendants were tasked with conducting “oppo research” against Trump, including the gathering of compromising and salacious information about Trump’s personal behavior and business dealings in Russia. The Defendants in turn engaged Orbis and Steele for assistance in completing this task.

16. Orbis proceeded to research Trump’s personal behavior in Russia and business dealings with Russian government officials, business leaders, and business entities. Steele compiled the “investigative” results into at least seventeen written CIR for delivery to the Defendants in Washington, D.C. The CIRs included raw, unverified information. 17. After Trump received the Republican nomination for President in July 2016, the Defendants’ Republican clients terminated their relationship with Fusion. Media reports subsequently surfaced asserting that Fusion had entered into a new engagement with Democratic Party operatives interested in using the oppo research to support Hillary Clinton’s candidacy.

He may be the last one to “realize” it. Another thread that I have cued up says he now admits it - will have to see what it says.

I actually had to Google whether she was still alive.

Can you imagine the celebration and joy at the HC campaign office when McCain handed the FBI Hillary’s golden-showers dossier?

There is NO WAY that she didn’t know about this or approve it in advance.

Sen. John McCain admitted Wednesday that he gave the FBI a dossier detailing claims of a Russian blackmail plot against President-elect Donald Trump.

"Funny. Nobody mentions it, but it was also GOP funded."

No, you are falling into the fake media trap. They are trying to link one story with the other. The true story is that a so-far unnamed candidate from the primary paid Fusion GPS to do oppo research on Trumps dealings in Russia. Nothing became of it. Once the primaries were almost over, the Clinton campaign and the DNC hired fusion GPS who in turn hired this scumbag to do the fake dossier. One was normal oppo research, the other Clinton story is the made up fake crap of golden showers. One has nothing to do with the other.

GOP hired the foreign national Steele first. It’s in the lawsuit.

The Washington post story said that Fusion GPS only hired Steele after hired by Clinton and the DNC.

The media want us to believe that a pubbie started this, that way they can deflect blame off Clinton and the DNC.

The Dementia Defense—should have seen that one coming!

That's the one that posits that he's not responsible for his actions, but he's still competent to vote against Trump's agenda?

It's in the lawsuit. They reached out to steele and co first.

This is the swamp. That's the point, they are all bad.

The time line doesn’t add up - it states that the DNC/Clinton twerps retained Fusion from April 2016 to October 2016 -
You’re (unnecessary)loud and screaming post above, states that the GOP dropped their oppo research in July 2016.

So, which is it? If the GOP sold it to the dems (first I read/heard that it was ‘sold’, that is quite the claim and opens another can of worms) anyway, if it were sold after the GOP dropped it, which is stated as July 2016 - then why did Marc Elias’ law firm hire Fusion in April of 2016?

It doesn’t make sense.
