Yeah, why is he involved?? If the owners admit to this meeting, they are tacitly agreeing there was a gentlemen’s agreement to not hire him.
My advice were I advising the owners at this time would be: GFY. This guy has a much standing in that meeting than I do as a fan. Who represents me? They feel like whites won't accept them because of their darker skin, but blacks also won't accept them because their too light. So they have to over-compensate to prove they belong to the "tribe". But the thing is, whites will be much more accepting of them, than dark-skinned blacks ever will be.

I don’t care enough about the NFL to follow this closely. But I could swear the first reports had the owner saying “inmates running the asylum.” Is there a tape of what he actually said?
