Once the dossier scandal and Uranium One started getting hot we should of all predicted this going down. Not a shock that Manafort was indicted. That was as likely as the sun coming up in the morning and going down in the evening. Mueller already had the indictment prepared. He just waited for the right timing. Deep State chess move. Highly predictable. What is the president’s next move going to be?

YES! exactly, none of the charges could have been done while Manafort was working for Trump. Taxes can’t because taxes have not been finalized for the year 2016. Paul could easily update those taxes. Money laundering takes time. These are all things he did before Trump. And he was working with the Podesta Group at the time. So why aren’t we talking about them too.

Now we know why the DNC went to the Ukraine. It is also worth remembering that the Podesta Group had the European Center for a Modern Ukraine as a client. If were the Podestas, I would be very nervous assuming Mueller is legit—a big assumption.
Oddly, a search of the indictment for the words “Trump”, “campaign” and “collusion” turns up nothing.

Regardless of media spin, this is a big win for Trump as all these threads lead back to the Democrats.
Now the decision by Trump to replace Manafort in August of 2016 makes more sense. Likely Trump had gotten wind of Manafort's involvement with Ukraine, etc., and decided to shake up his campaign management. At the time, the shakeup was seen as a Trump campaign in chaos. But it make more sense now. Also, Steve Bannon and Kelly Ann Conway stepping in breathed new life into the campaign.
To my knowledge, after Manafort's ouster, he never played an active role in Trump's campaign again. That bodes well for Trump as well.
