If I understand the GITMO situation, GITMO exists because if they are brought to the United States, then the government must charge them within a certain time frame with criminal charges and hand them over to a civilian court. Since their rights as civilians in criminal court have not been rigorously adhered to, no Miranda warnings, for example, and they may have, for civilians, been illegally questioned without lawyers, bringing them here would be problematic. Someone must have explained this to Obama, which is, doubtless, why he didn’t close GITMO. I am sure that someone is busy briefing President Trump on the legal realities and he won’t Tweet any more about GITMO.
Leave it to the Muslim Kenyan and the Muslim-loving Liberals (but, I repeat myself) to have it all figured out how they can screw the American people before hand.
