Sacked Catalan leader Carles Puigdemont will not return to Spain to answer charges including rebellion, his lawyer has said.

Speaking to the Associated Press, Paul Bekaert suggested Mr. Puigdemon should instead be questioned in Belgium where has been since Monday.

He has been summoned to court in Madrid on Thursday, alongside 13 deputies.

They face charges including sedition and misuse of public funds over last month's banned independence referendum......

The Uniparties of Spain Socialist (Fake Left), Peoples (Fake Right), and Ciudanos (Fake Reformers) have all united to support a crackdown on Catalonia for wanting independence.

The regime in Madrid has thrown people in jail already and wants to throw the top police and government officals ousted last weekend in prison with the others.

And they lecture Venezuela's commies for the wrong they do to opponents who want democracy and then imitate them.

The Madrid Uniparties are backed by the Corporatists and Globalists of the EU.

Israel, by the way, is neutral on this matter.

How does it work in the EU? Do they have extradition between member states, or can a Spaniard be arrested for ‘crimes’ in Spain and tried for them in Belgium?

Spain can ask Belgium but Belgium’s government includes Flemish nationalists sympathetic to the Catalans. That’s apparently why Puigdemont is in that country right now with others wanted by Spain.

The Catalan government officials should have thought this through. If they went down the independence road, they needed to be prepared to take whatever measures were necessary to prosecute their movement. Now, they have abandoned their protostate and look like common criminals.

Back in the day, the sovereign would be a bit more strict.

King George said those that persisted in their “treason” would be hung.

Wow, crushing the Catalans was particularly fast and easy.

Hopefully California will do it right. How can I help make #CALEXIT a reality?

Maybe now they realize that the only way to shed an unruly government is to be armed.

I guess they expected Spain to just knuckle under.

The strategy here is non violence with the Spanish government being nudged towards the dramatic draconian actions.

The Catalan leader is channeling Gandhi and Martin Luther King and the Spanish Uniparty regime will have to decide how badly they want to jail and prosecute people as rebels and seditionists.

If they keep pushing martyrs could be created.

They have done nothing violent, they are just avoiding arrest and I think inviting arrest by forcing the Spanish Uniparty government to bring other countries into the crushing of Catalan independence through the arrest and jailing of its leaders.

The Catalan leader(s) fled the country. Gandhi and King dared the police to put them in jail.

The Catalan leader is not hiding, he is in a European country.

Carles Puigdemont is at the heart of the Globalist-Corporatist seat of power in Brussels.

He’ll be waiting there for his arrest where the Spanish government has less control over the terms and some sympathizers (Flemish nationalists) in the Belgian government can protest and resist.
