Anchor: North Korean authorities continue to demolish residential and public buildings along the Yalu River of the North-China border area, centered on Hyesan City, Yanggang Province. They are dismantling the buildings within 50m of the border, and there was an order to create the 2nd 38th parallel' in North-China border area.
Noh Jung Min reporting:
Recently, it is common to see the demolition of residential and public buildings, which is in full swing along the Yalu River in Hyesan City, Yanggang Province, a border area between North Korea and China.
It is reported that, starting from Hyeshin-dong and Hyegang-dong, houses within 50m of the border are being demolished and in their place a new apartment is being built, while houses next to the Yalu River has been also demolished in Kangan-dong, about 1km north of Hyesan City,.
The Asia press, a Japanese media, quotes multiple sources from Hyesan city in Yanggang province, saying, "They are demolishing residential and public buildings along the Yalu River. Residents who were forced to leave their houses were relocated to different housing blocks, living temporarily at other's house or a relative's home."
According to the Asia press, the demolition of residential areas near the border in Yanggang was already planned in 2014, and thought to be intended for preventing illegal border crossing, including defections and smuggling, and completely stopping inflow of outside information from China. North Korean authorities have already removed the residential and public buildings in the North-China border area in the wake of the damage caused by the floods that occurred in the Tumen River last year, so they now appear to be turning their attention to demolition works along the Yalu River.

P!
Another Berlin Wall. Another imprisoned people under socialist-communist rule. Funny that the NorK’s fear “information” coming in from communist-Red China.
But Trump is the evil one who caused all of the trouble, right?
I'm not clear on how one would demolish a building without using force.
Ahhhh. Well that makes sense, then.
Does private property even exist in the People's Peace Loving,Really Swell Democratic Republic of Korea?
Absolutely! Rocketman owns everything and everyone.
Communists build walls to keep people IN
Freedom loving capitalists build walls to keep people OUT
completely stopping inflow of outside information from China.
Outside information of living standards and even comparative freedom is the true greatest threat Fat Boys absolute rule faces.
As opposed to demolishing those buildings feebly, gently, softly and without force.
The night dream of every fascist democrat politician in America.
Looks like one match and the wind from the right direction would take care of it.
Shantytown. It’s either urban renewal or a setting up of machine guns in those low-rise windows.
Thanks for posting.. sending this one to my only son. He was stationed in SK and misses it, of course.
Unfortunately I could read radio free Asia all day, interesting news.
Maybe the start of a wall?
Communists like to build walls to keep people in.
