I suspect Iran’s reaction will be, “So? What are you going to do about it?” I wonder if Trump and the Saudi’s have gamed this situation. Saudi Arabia has a powerful military on paper. But it is badly led and hasn’t done well in Yemen. I think it’s fragile enough that it may break apart if things start to go badly. Even though Iran is heavily engaged in Syria, they can essentially put that conflict on hold and pivot towards Saudi Arabia. If they do indeed have nukes and the Saudi’s have said they have bought them from Pakistan, then this could get messy really fast. (The Saudis may or may not be telling the truth about the nukes.)
