Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) followed former DNC Chairwoman Donna Brazile’s lead Thursday and walked back her assertions last week that the Democratic primary was rigged to favor Hillary Clinton. Her new story is that there is just “some bias” at the DNC but the primary was fair.
When asked by CNN’s Jake Tapper last week whether she agreed that the process had been “rigged” in Clinton’s favor, she answered simply “yes.”
On PBS NewsHour later that same day, Warren responded “I think it was” when asked directly if the election was rigged.
However, in aninterview Thursday Warren said, "I agree with what Donna Brazile has said over the last few days; that while there was some bias at the DNC, the overall 2016 primary process was fair and Hillary made history."
Although Brazile is also now claiming that the primary was fair, an excerpt of her book published last week in Politico suggests otherwise.
"I had promised Bernie when I took the helm of the Democratic National Committee after the convention that I would get to the bottom of whether Hillary Clinton’s team had rigged the nomination process, as a cache of emails stolen by Russian hackers and posted online had suggested," Brazile wrote.
"By September 7, the day I called Bernie, I had found my proof and it broke my heart," she concluded just a few paragraphs later.
“The funding arrangement with HFA and the victory fund agreement was not illegal, but it sure looked unethical,” she concluded further down. “If the fight had been fair, one campaign would not have control of the party before the voters had decided which one they wanted to lead. This was not a criminal act, but as I saw it, it compromised the party’s integrity.”
Hillary Clinton responded very briefly to the allegations Wednesday evening arguing it “just wasn’t the case” that her campaign had unfair influence at the DNC.
Some phone calls are being made. The Clintons still hold a tremendous amount of power in the party and they are not going anywhere.

Good thing for Sen Warren backing off this claim. She would be well within reason to steer clear of Wounded Knee, at least until the smoke signals clear.
She was told three words: “Trail of Tears”.

How is “some bias” not a part of the spectrum of “rigged”?
All rigging starts out with some bias. When it is overt and blatant, as happened in 2016, then it moves from “some bias” to “a LOT of bias”, and the unseemly nature of the bullying tactics is apparent to all but the willfully ignorant.
Until the Democrat party rids itself of those two factions (the Clintons and the Obamas) which suck up all the oxygen in the room, they shall not be able to field a true national party for years to come, as there are simply no new young talent being brought up. Kamala Harris is not the one, but perhaps Tulsi Gabbard (representing 2nd District in Hawaii) may be a possibility, should she be permitted to mature further.
The various Hispanic activists within the Democrat party being put forth shall ALWAYS be niche candidates, none even coming close to having national appeal, though they may gain a lifetime gig in their particular district. One only has to look at the widespread appeal that Tom Perez brings to the Democrat chairmanship.
Since all white men within the Democrat ranks are definitely demoted to second-class status, that leaves only minorities and the female gender as actual contenders in 2020.

The rehabilitation of Hillary begins. Brazile won’t go under the bus, that would be a threefer.....misogynist, racist and age-ist. She will come back into the fold, but her truth needed airing. Never fear, I am sure the Clintons will once again be powerful.....never mind all the sexist crap BillyJeff is guilty of. Warren wants to stay in the good graces of ALL the powerful Dems. She’s just preserving her future.
