You said it before I could. In a sane world, a man who lost his legs like that would not talk to reporters just to get a few minutes of fame.
Good for him though. Every know and then, we all need a reminder at how quickly our lives can be irreversibly changed by the bad choices we make.
He doesn't remember passing out on the railroad tracks but I'll bet he remembers the first sip of alcohol he took that evening.
