If he beat her to death would he have gotten just 4 years?

Wow. Jail for 4 years, and if you split the $250K 4 ways it’s just $62,500 a year. A lot of money, but she could have earned at least half that at a job and not had to give up four years of her life in jail and end up with a murder record, and that poor guy would not have had to give up life...forever. She got off light.
Kid gloves. Once again, the ‘Justice’ system demonstrates that women cannot be held responsible for their actions.
With a sinking kayak, you have to first be able to exit the craft and hopefully with a life jacket. There is no reference in the article that he was able to do so.........
So one can only surmise that as the kayak was sinking, it likely overturned and he was unable to right it and drowned and eventually slipped out of the kayak which would explain why his body wasn't found till several days later.......

Women get all the perks that men used to get. In fact, they have affirmative action advantages.
Women get all the perks women used to get. They get preferential treatement as mothers, lower jail sentences, and preferential treatment in court for custody arrangements.
High status men get access to lots more women. Average guys get a little more access for a short period.

I got separated from a C-1 in fast moving class 2 water that was around 45 degrees. It’s scary how fast the cold saps one’s strength.
A PFD is mandatory.
1.) The kayak-er was a poor swimmer, in which case he had no business out on the water.
2.) The kayak-er was passed-out drunk.
3.) The water was cold enough to cause hypothermia.
She should marry Bowe Bergdahl, who got a similar ‘sentence.’ Seriously though...this is female privilege in a nutshell. A man who did this would get 20 yeaes.
