No, it is not.

The designs are not even close. The only similarity is they use .223 and are magazine fed.

The ranch rifle is a traditional stock (from Ruger) with no pistol grip, no adjustable LOP, no possibility for a bayonet mount, no threaded barrel and it goes on. It is similar to the M1 Garand except magazine instead of enbloc clip.

As I replied to Celtic Conservative, I should have put quotes around AR-15.

I was trying to show here’s a semi-auto rifle that fires a .223 round and accepts large capacity mags, ie. 30 or 40 rounds.

But yet if you show it to an AR-15 hater, they love it. It’s a nice safe hunting rifle, not an evil ‘assault weapon.’

But functionally, it’s identical to an AR-15.
