NEWARK —The bribery trial of Sen. Robert Menendez (D-N.J.) ended in a mistrial Thursday after jurors said they were hopelessly deadlocked on corruption charges against the lawmaker and a wealthy Florida eye doctor.

“We cannot reach a unanimous decision,’’ the jury said in a note just before lunch on Thursday. “Nor are we willing to move away from our strong convictions.”

But the children he allegedly had sex with are to be believed!! The Senate ethics committee must now expell him immediately unless he resigns!!

Of course that juror was allowed to stay on the jury. As has been said, the fix has always been in. The rule of law is dead. We are officially a banana republic.

Bingo!. Couldn’t have Christie appoint a Republican to the Senate so the judge declared a mistrial so that a Democrat governor can replace him at a later date.

Got away with it. Kudos to him. Same with the Torricelli seat.

And this is how the left gets their criminal Senators off!

There is no equal justice under the law.

A couple of the “jurors” wanted to “send a message”. Keep your white paws off the “democrats”.

It will be difficult to find 12 democrats to convict Hillary also.

The fix was certainly in. I think he’ll be found guilty though. He will go on trial again with a new jury. I’ll bet good money he’ll be found guilty this time.

Overall, they didn’t want Christie naming his replacement. Now that the new Dem Gov of NJ will be in office, the Dems won’t care what happens to Menendez. They know he’s damaged goods and don’t want him back. They didn’t want to lose the seat though.

But it was not clear that even if he had been convicted, whether Menendez and his fellow Democrats would have gone along with his ouster.

This says it all about how with liberals it's always heads I win, tails you lose. Just wow.

That's a very interesting thought.
