Just so. The General explained to the reporter what the laws are. It’s a fairly complicated business. Then CBS, as expected, completely misrepresented what he said. If he made a mistake, it was to talk to the news media at all, and say ANYTHING.
Agreed. Twisting things against Trump is half of what the Media does these daze.
And if its illegal, guess whats going to happen? Im going to say, Mr. President, thats illegal. And guess what hes going to do? Hes going to say, What would be legal? And well come up (with) options, with a mix of capabilities to respond to whatever the situation is, and thats the way it works. Its not that complicated.

Exactly right. And you don’t have to be a general officer for that rule to apply.

“Illegal Order” is a valid concept and a soldier would be expected not to obey such.
