Trivia fact:
Except for pictures from the fixed lunar lander camera, all pictures taken on the surface of the moon were of Buzz Aldrin.
Neil Armstrong had the only camera.

Astronaut Gene Cernan salutes the U.S. flag planted on the moon during the Apollo 17 mission. I knew this one because Gene lived here in Kerrville for many years.

Yeah, yeah, it is a PBS production but they reran this the other night. Neil Armstrong was one heck of a guy; his service in the Navy, test pilot work, the Agena incident, the flying bedstead incident, landing the LEM, all of it, unbelievable the accomplishments of one man.

My father always said that the Apollo missions represented America at the peak of the curve and she has steadily eroded ever since. I agree 100%.
