Weasel words, Al! You can categorically say but you didn't categorically assure. You can directly and emphatically say anything you like!
I can also say you invited me into the bathroom with you.
My point isn't that he's telling the truth, my point is that it's impossible to know. Therefore, neither should be given much weight.
Believe me, I like seeing dems go down more than you know, but ... I hope this ends soon ... that is, that you can say whatever you want and it's treated as evidence. A very, very ... very very close person to me, someone who I have absolute reason to know is absolutely telling the truth and has never done this stuff, was once on the sharp end of a totally fake and anonymous accusation. It was pretty scary ... for that guy that I know :-)
This stuff is dangerous. it's fun until it's you and you're in fact 100% totally totally innocent of doing anything whatsoever. For the same reason we prefer to see guilty people walk than convict the innocent, this crap needs to stop soon, even if some guilty dems or other critters walk.
However, like everyone else, I'm eating popcorn ... but ... I eat it with reservation and believe the part where there is zero evidence has to end. Soon, it needs to be 'you should have spoken up immediately or created some sort of evidence when it happened, now it's too late.'
But again, the Clinton's set a standard in the country where reporting would do more harm than good in many cases, so ... I think there needs to be a short period of amnesty where we do err a little on the side of granting more credibility in the absence of evidence, but certainly not total credibility.
The days where you'd get Clinton'ed for reporting this are clearly now passed.
I DO believe Franken is guilty of a hell of a lot more than even what's been reported. That guy is a power hungry sociopath who clearly hates himself at a deep level, and probably would never be granted a chance to hold a butt if he didn't steal it.
I'm not perfect but that's not one of my imperfections.
