Rep. Joe Barton, who apologized Wednesday for a lewd photo of him that circulated on the Internet, told a woman to whom he had sent sexually explicit photos, videos and messages that he would report her to the Capitol Police if she exposed his behavior, according to a recording reviewed by The Washington Post.
The woman spoke to The Post after the lewd photo was published Tuesday by an anonymous Twitter account. She shared a secretly recorded phone conversation she had with Barton in 2015 in which he warned her against using the explicit materials “in a way that would negatively affect my career.”
Besides the recording of the phone call, the woman shared text and social-media messages she exchanged with Barton, as well as a 53-second cellphone video Barton recorded of himself while masturbating. The conspiracy theory website InfoWars obtained a copy of the video and published it Wednesday night, though the video appeared to have been removed from the site several hours later.
The lewd Twitter photo that Barton acknowledged on Wednesday appears to have been captured from that video. The woman said she did not post the image herself. She shared phone numbers for Barton that match his personal and government-issued cellphones. Barton was not abusive or coercive in his interactions, the woman said, but said she felt he was “manipulative and dishonest and misleading” in his dealings with her and other women.

Any Congressman who consented to the recording of such images should resign in disgrace immediately.
And any woman who consented to the recording of pornographic images of herself by any man, with the possible exception of her husband, deserves what she gets.
Wait - I changed my mind. Any HUSBAND who gets his wife to agree to such a thing should be horsewhipped.

Without knowing the full details(and not wishing to click the link) it could well be. Just goes to show that when details are sketchy, and the headlines are possibly being manipulated by the media, a multitude of interpretations are possible.

I never understood this obsession of some men thinking women want to see pictures of there package. I can’t say I even knew anyone who wanted to see pictures of that. Even when conversations with other women about men would get a little racy and private. No one ever talked about wanting to see pictures of their private parts. I even distinctly remember some saying how ridiculous that was and a big turnoff. Very off-putting. A fast way to turn a possible good thing into a no-way.

If it is a case of Blackmail, Joe Barton can take the case to a public courtroom where we can see all the pictures of Barton’s package, all the texts, and Joe’s video.

Interesting take on this. I would have to agree and say the ‘revenge porn’ should be applicable to this too. She could have taken it to the correct resources/proper authorities. Even posted that the she had the images. But instead chose to upload it and post it on the internet like wild-fire for all to see.

He seems to win by 20 to 25 points, which is comfortable, but not great...so the Dems could have a shot at it. But, as it is, losing an Amnesty-enabler is worth giving up a House seat for.
He is just a nasty looking character. A lot of men who met him, walked away thinking they wouldn’t want to get to know him.
