"He thinks" Who is 'he'?

We do know he told Lester Holt comey was fired because of russia

You mean Comey was fired for a falsified document peddled by Steele working for Fusions GPS and Hillary?

There are con. Lawyers and con. professors who disagree with you. So no...its not set in stone that a potus can fire an fbi director no matter the circumstances with no repercussions

The House Judiciary Committee can continue any FBI or Mueller investigations that they want and they can draw up articles of impeachment if they find any wrong doing by the president. That's the Constitutional way. To take powers away from the Chief Executive, by saying that he can't fire his FBI director, isn't...

There are con. Lawyers and con. professors who disagree with you. So no...its not set in stone that a potus can fire an fbi director no matter the circumstances with no repercussions

Then they aren't Originalist lawyers and professors.

I'll ask you two questions.

Who do you think the FBI director answers to?

Who do you think the AG answers to on all matters including matters concerning the FBI?

Sorry to beat a dead horse, but I really do not understand what you are saying.

Are you saying some lawyer disagrees with any of these? Which one? ...

You must be talking about something else, perhaps hypotheticals involving a crazy special prosecutor, district attorney, indictments, impeachment, etc. Because no lawyer can possibly challenge those primary facts.

Sure, a crazy person can do unpredictable things and make a fuss like the left always does. But that is what they always do. And the sun will rise tomorrow regardless. Stop gaslighting yourself and others over the "obstruction" nonsense. These are legal illiterates tossing that word around. Maybe we should invent our own: obstruction of the presidency.

Ironically all the gaslighting itself is: obstruction of sane discussion. But if moderators clamped down on it I guess it would take the fun out of beating up the gaslighters or something. ;-)

But like nixon...he may get nailed on the cover up..in this case..obstruction

Obstruction? How so? The firing of Comey? Trump has not obstructed any investigation by the FBI or the DOJ.

Here is the bottom line. A potus can fire an FBI director

To say he can do it without repercussions no matter the circumstances is wrong...and it SHOULD be wrong

I’ll say this “over Russia” isn’t enough information to leap to the silly conclusion Trump ‘obstructed justice’ by firing Comey because he was investigating Trump “over Russia”.

Comey’s ass is likely hanging out there on a thin string that could be easily cut because he likely illegally wiretapped Trump or knows who and his presidential campaign, and he used a falsified dossier that is filled with info that probably came from Russian operatives, or Steele’s fertile imagination, which resulted in the DOJ to appoint a Special Counsel (Comey’s friend) Mueller. Then there is Uranium One swirling about with an star eyewitness who has about 6 years worth of evidence on Hillary and the illegal money laundering company known as the Clinton Foundation.

Does what trump did rise to the level? We do know he told Lester Holt comey was fired because of russia

Trump can fire Comey for any reason or no reason. Sessions and Rosenstein recommended that he be fired and cited many reasons. McCabe, under oath, testified that the Comey firing in no way impaired the ongoing FBI investigation.

The only real crime that has been documented is the unmasking of General Flynn. The real scandal is that the Dems (Hillary and the DNC) funded the Steele dossier that was used to obtain a FISA warrant that enabled the WH to spy on the Trump campaign and transition teams using the massive resources of the intelligence community. This is the real threat to our Republic and the electoral process, not the Russians.
