Trump has tried to give coercion diplomacy a chance to work. He gave China and other nation the chance to get North Korea to come to it’s senses. It hasn’t worked. That does not mean Trump has failed. It merely means that Trump has now moved along a “must-try” timeline that clears the way for what comes next.

We are going to wake up one morning and North Korea is going to be in a shambles. It may get messy, but it won’t be as messy as it would be five years from now, if we had to take action then.

That we have come to this point in time, almost demands that Clinton, Bush, and Obama be brought up on charges.

It is unconscionable that they punted this building nuclear confrontation on down the road to the point that the United States is now under the threat of EMP or Nuclear attack on the mainland of the nation.

One day I hope the people of this nation realize how badly we have been sold out by these three presidents. And yes, we need to toss in Jimmy Carter, the most foolish global visionary and negotiator in U. S. history.

I agree. Some serious ‘’shock and awe’’ is needed on Fat Boys a$$. What are the Norks going to do, storm across the border? Yeah, they might. If that one who came across last week is any indication they aren’t going to be in the mood for fighting. They’re starving. They’ll be looking for food.

I am reading the book “the Coldest Winter” that is about the Korean war. I am surprised that the situation that allowed grandfather Kim to successfully invade the south similarly exists today

America essentially had no military left 5 years after WWII. Today, our military is weakened by years of budget cuts. We hear about this and that but do not know of the actual state of weakness. There is political dissention over what to do, currently favoring continuing to do nothing, to kick the can down the road. There is a President that at is old and seemingly weak and much hated.

The good part is there is no inept MacArthur commanding the relevant Asian military. The Secretary of Defense is a Mad Dog. The Secretary of State is called T Rex.

I have come to believe that Kim et al are seeking to relive grandfather’s time and have royally screwed up.

Actually, that would be Jimmy Carter. He single-handedly negotiated a treaty in 1994 that not only gave the NORKs permission to build their nukes, but also paid them to do it:

In June the (Clinton) Administration was on the verge of imposing sanctions against North Korea -- a step that would have required the commitment of thousands of American troops to Korea to reinforce the 38,000 already stationed there -- until former President Jimmy Carter invited himself to Pyongyang and negotiated directly with Kim Il Sung. Mr. Kim died just a few weeks later, but, to the amazement of American officials, the new tone set by Mr. Carter and the man known for four decades as the North's "Great Leader" survived.

This treasonous negotiation was taken without any official sanction, though Clinton readily signed on. In effect, Clinton and Carter capitulated to the threat of nuclear blackmail, not only protecting the North Korean nuclear program, but actually subsidizing it.
