Back in 2003 when I worked in T.O., we lived in Simi Valley. A big fire threatened Simi, and we were just getting in the car to evacuate when they cancelled the order. Our house backed on to the Reagan Library grounds, and the Library was between us and the fire; it had just reached Tierra Rejada.
When it reached that point, the sky became black with helicopters flying over to dump water. We feel that our location helped us, since the Library and its records, etc., were in danger. I’ve been frightened a lot over the years, but the fire thing... terrifying.

Amen brother. Only by the grace of God go I. Jesus said that the rain falls on the just and unjust. The same works for fire. I live high up in the mountains in California and dodged a fire back in September and had to evacuate. Thank God nothing happened to my house. Yes I am a conservative but if my liberal neighbor needed help, I wouldn’t hesitate to lend a hand.

I’m really concerned about Northern Ventura county including Ojai area..an arm of the Thomas fire is east of them and will be pushed west when the wind picks up

Are you saying that since they had a big fire in 1894, that covers all their evil ways going forward to now?
As I stated, MN voted for Obama, Hillary, has 2 democrat senators, a democrat governors and probably voted sanctuary cities/counties, etc...so are they due for more troubles?

Read your post on another thread...Hundred’s of homes lost...In Midwest, we are not getting as much coverage of this as out there.
This is so sad—as I stated during the Sonoma fires, I cannot imagine the fear going through people’s hearts and minds seeing uncontrolled flames approaching.
I am following as I have friends and family out there.
Keeping all in my thoughts and prayers!

In the presser just announced that all Valley schools are closed for tomorrow and Friday due to air quality issues. Good move. The real problem is tonight when very high winds are expected.
