I have fond memories of northern AL in the 70’s. Spectacular scenery being out in nature. That’s God’s country.

Traveled all over the world at a former job, plenty of desirable "tourist" destinations among the places I had to go it. However, the place that I liked to visit the most was Alabama.

Was working there one year over Christmas. Once word got out at the facility, I was inundated with invites to come to family gatherings. Accepted the first few, then had to turn down the rest reluctantly.

Jeez, I ate well that trip. Must have put on 5 pounds. :-) Great people, and I'll always be thankful.

I used to drive through northern AL when I dropped my daughter at Ole Miss. Nothern MIchigan and Northern AL are hidden US Treasures.
