Because this is the chief failure of socialism/command sorts of societies, in that they use tactics like these to divide and conquer, but ultimately the results are even more divisive and self contradictory.
A case of a revolution devouring its own children. Anything that serves their Cause. The accusers are evidently too dense to realize they may be next.
That and the fact that there is no reason to be productive and responsible.
