Tillerson says no 'precondition' for North Korea talks
Washington Examiner ^ | Dec 12, 2017, 7:56 PM | Daniel Chaitin

Tillerson told a D.C. crowd Tuesday:

“We’re ready to have the first meeting without precondition."

"Let's just meet," he continued. "We can talk about the weather if you want. We can talk about whether it's going to be a square table or a round table, if that's what you're excited about. But can we at least sit down and see each other face-to-face. And then we can begin to lay out a map, a roadmap, of what we might be willing to work towards."

Waste of time.
As Frankie Pantangelie was hear to say, “Let's hit em now, while we've got the muscle.”

I tend to think this is the last call they’ll attempt...no conditions says it all....

No..it’s a good call....will flush the Fat Boy out...guess is he will try to negotiate meeting time place and between who.....which will be a yes.

If not then it’s a stalemate. One or the other will break that.

I do like Tillerson....a lot.

Rocket man has always wanted a meeting with the USA only...without the other 5 countries involved in the North Korean talks.

He's going to get all excited...like he's made it big now.

yep, it’s we know what you got time. You test your nuke in the pacific and it’s game over for you. Final warning. This is Kim’s last shot.

maybe....I think Christmas likely.....

Until there’s a time-line for response it’s still stalling for both sides.

I like him too....so does Trump.

If FAT-Boys been bluffing about willingness to meet with the US alone we’ll know soon enough...Tillerson’s calling him on that.

But remember it’s really China and Russia doing the talking behind the scenes.

Will be interesting how China and Russia see this....Both have said ‘Dialogue” is the Only way...so lets see if they mean it!
Fat Boy is just their mouth piece in this chess game. Fat Boy is too stupid on his own.

This is just stupid. The Paris Peace Talks were delayed by a year or more because the communists wouldn’t agree to the shape of the table. If this guy thinks that is a good way to go, then we will be stuck with the status quo indefinitely.

Precondition of stopping nuke tests? Come on, basic.

There won’t be a year to determine this....you note Tillerson mentioned ‘the table’ as a reference to just that. This is not going to hang on long.

Tillerson said any talks would have to occur amid a “period of quiet,” noting that it would be “tough to talk if in the middle of our talks you decide to test another device”.

Additionally....in prior requests US said it would ‘only’ talk once the regime was ready to address its denuclearization. ...now this isn’t even a request.

Well it appears the pressure campaign has achieved results that were not seen by previous efforts.

Tillerson earlier on Tuesday at a State Department Town Hall meeting said.........”We’ve never had this level of extreme sanctions.... When fully executed, this is going to deny North Korea about $2.3 billion of their export revenue – complete ban on coal, textiles, export of forced labor; import limitations on fuel and oil,”

China is already setting up refugee camps on it’s border as it’s determined over winter the cold will send refugees over the border as the sanctions get stronger and take further hold.....and further they don’t want to be caught flat footed if there if the US does strike.

Tillerson plans to meet with top Canadian officials next Tuesday in Ottawa to address issues including North Korea’s weapon proliferation.....this is an important meeting as the U.S. and Canada are members of the United Nations Command, a unified command structure... for ‘multinational military forces’... established in 1950 to support Korea during the Korean War.

According to reports...The U.S. and Canada will convene a separate meeting that includes members of the United Nations Command States on countering North Korea’s threat to international peace. Korea and Japan are also invited to attend.

Tilleerson has stated that.....”If North Korea makes bad choices, … militarily we’re prepared,” (noting) “that’s not the path we want to take.”

thing is we have the muscle. we always have. The difference is now we have a new President who isn’t afraid to use it. It would be in their best interest, at this time, to come to the square table with us and make a deal that ends this nonsense once and for all.

I think passage of the Tax Bill will be the watershed event. Once that is out of the way the President can commence whatever action is appropriate in North Korea and the indictments can start to fly out of Special Prosecutor against many Clinton/Obama perps.
