FRiend, you want me to believe that McConnell picked a candidate so weak, so full of flaws, so tone deaf, so unable to hold his base that that’s why super Republican Alabama is now going to have a Democrat Senator? I think not. Alabama probably had 100,000 good Republican conservatives who would have won. Instead, they got the blowhard Bannon’s candidate and lost. This is a disaster and good evidence that we cannot ignore weak and flawed candidates.

” good evidence that we cannot ignore weak and flawed candidates”

Moore was a very bad choice even before the pedophile accusations.

Bannon was counting on the public in Alabama, specifically the white evangelical voters, to reject the MSM and the Uniparty smear on Roy Moore. His counting was inaccurate, and the estimates of the declining power of the MSM on the part of many conservatives were wrong. Hillary Clinton lost badly in the South, the Rust Belt, and the Plains States because she was an inept candidate. Given a more appealing, younger candidate, an industrial strength smear on Trump, and maybe a recession for good measure, the Democrats can retake the White House in 2020.

However, Bannon's strategy is correct. We have a fixed two party system, and have been this way since the Civil War. The only way to break the Uniparty's grip is too wrest the GOP from the likes of McConnell, Cornyn, Ryan, et. al. Moore and other candidates, like Kelli Ward, are the means of doing so.

The gloating from the MSM and faux conservatives like Fox News, National Review, Hugh Hewitt, etc., will be sickening tomorrow. I won't listen to the gloating, better to listen to some good music.
