It is survivable! I’m not saying we won’t get a bloody nose but we would probably only lose 10 or 20 million tops!

Does Russia only have designs on us,

I don't believe they have designs on us at all. Their plan was just like ours. Defend our allies. The problem for both superpowers is that organized crime has taken over the mainstay of both governments and joined up with the corrupt global corporate crime syndicates to dominate all the wealth and power on the globe.

After WWII, Russia acquired the bomb. They realized it made it impossible for anyone to ever invade them again without suffering complete devastation of their homeland in return. That’s their motivation over all else.

"You mention nuclear bombs to Americans and they get edgy. Granted, nuclear war ain’t good but the dirty little secret is that it is survivable. The Ruskys know it, the Chicoms know it and I pray that our military still has plans to win it."

That's correct, and the clucking about "Mutually Assured Destruction" has been a misleading bit of propaganda disseminated by a few mad folks who value their market stability more than life itself. Nukes are built to be used, and we can indeed survive nuclear exchanges.

The cleanup would be fast, and that's not the half of it.

After a nuclear exchange, much more will happen that most people by far know nothing about. War would continue for a little while, yes. But let's just say that employment would be very abundant and would pay very well. And no, not only military employment.

The economy would be running like a powerful machine. You see, though, that's another change that many of the political/regulator class people want to prevent. They really don't want the multitudes they consider to be human trash to survive a nuclear exchange--another reason that they continue to get themselves ready with luxury fallout shelters in remote areas while continuing to publicly insist that nuclear war would only cause absolute human extinction.

There are even plans to continue and increase safe farming after nuclear exchanges, cleanup, testing of products and all.

Another certainty. Any nation or nations that attack us with nuclear weapons will be invaded and occupied in short order, and they know it.

I don’t buy in quite as much as you do on that, but man is inherently evil and we know the end is coming. In a way we hate that this is happening, but those of us who are Christians recognize it as something that will play in during the last days of evil on this planet.

I don’t like to get too far down the road into preaching. This is pretty much universally accepted by Christians in one manner or another.

We live in interesting times.

"Are they building these without testing? If they are testing, how come we don’t hear about it? Or, is testing allowed under some yield threshold?"

We and the Russians have already done so many different kinds of tests and have so much data from those, that testing isn't often needed for design any more, if at all.

To some extent the whole Trump/Russia witch hunt is designed to make it easier for the deep state bureaucracy to push through increases in military budgets to counter the ‘threat’.

Articles like this from the Pro-Clinton right feed off that narrative.

"Seems like rational foreign and domestic policy on Russia’s part..."

Yep. There's a new super power taking the field which means everyone has to rethink their war plans - and I'd be very surprised if Russia isn't extremely worried about China.

(from the article) : " Since 2010, however, Russia, China, and North Korea have been engaged in steadily building up their forces with new nuclear arms and delivery systems,
while Iran remains an outlier that many experts believe will eventually decide to build a nuclear arsenal
in the next decade or sooner, when restrictions outlined in the international nuclear deal expire.

Prepper ping :- where are the civilian shelters ?

Most civilian shelters have been converted to other bureaucratic functions, or ignored into ignominy !
Do you have a fallout shelter in the vicinity of home, work, school,.. or while in transit ?
Do you have one at home, partially constructed,.. fully constructed ? .. adequate food and medical supplies ?
More importantly.. do you know where they are ?
Or are you waiting for the Government to provide ?.. Ha ha, ha ! Yeah,.. rite !
We all have personal responsibility for ourselves and our families, like our forefathers used to do .. How are your responding ?
Are you prepped ?.... fully prepped ? working on it ?
Or, are you just thinking about it ...still ?
Don't forget the OODA loop !

Russia is staying modestly in the background, even pretending to be working on peace, meanwhile preparing for the war that will protect their oil and gas market (they think).
