Ok the only specific example is he once asked a clerk to look at pics of naked people....and they don’t give context. So what are we supposed to think? Maybe it was relevant to a case, or maybe it was for less appropriate reasons. How inappropriate? We are left guessing. Maybe we are supposed to assume it must have been pretty inappropriate in order for a story to be written and published...but I find that is not always a good guide given how the media behaves sometimes.

Kozinski’s porn habits were well known for decades. When he was put before a judicial review committee from another Circuit and was given a pass, then CJ William Rhenquist was said to be outraged that Kozinski received no punishment; and that Rhenquist likely preferred that Kozenski be removed from the bench.
