Conventional wisdom is that Attorney General Jeff Sessions is asleep at the wheel – from recusing himself unnecessarily from the Trump-Russia collusion investigation to doing nothing about the politicization and weaponization of the Department of Justice. He also gave free rein to his deputy A.G., Rod Rosenstein, who is in turn allowing Special Counsel Robert Mueller unlimited time, money, and jurisdiction to investigate President Trump's entire life.

I had a possum in my garage. I tried to push him out with a broom and he hissed and threatened me. I hit him and he played possum. So, I got my 22 and put the muzzle on his head and blew his brains out.
Playing possum works against animal intelligence. Against humans, it just makes you an easy target.
I think the article presents a very strong and logical explanation for Sessions apparent inaction.
I’m tiring of the FR Sessions-bashers. The man is rock solid, and if he weren’t doing his job like he was hired to, he’d be gone. President Trump doesn’t mess around.

I’m with you on this. However, regardless of how any of us come down on this, we don’t really know. We can really only form opinions based on the history of each person involved.
We’ll know soon enough who is right.
That being said, sometimes these “he has it under control” people remind me of the stuttering defense attorney in My Cousin Vinny and his cornering the witness on his prescription glasses that turned out to be reading glasses.

American Thinker is one of the only sources I do read all the way through.
I completely understand that argument but to believe that Sessions is doing absolutely nothing you have to believe that the President is ok with that. I don't think he is.
What's been the result of Mueller's investigation so far? Not a whole helluva lot, Manafort, Flynn and that kid whose name I've already forgotten...and none of it touching on 'Russian collusion'.
What's been the blow back? Nearly his entire team now has criminal crap all over it. And the biggest news coming out is about Strzok and his mistress and the Ohrs. Whether intentional or not Mueller has pulled together a team that's rotten and corrupt enough that the corruption of the DOJ and FBI is being exposed, little by little and day by day.
I think the IG's report is going to be blockbuster. Heck...if his report was just about what's already been leaked it would be block buster. This is on;y going to get better and better.

Like many of his buddies in the senate, he opposed Roy Moore for an Obamanite who will further roadblock Trump’s agenda.

I didn't think much of his blustering incompetence as a US Senator...I've seen nothing yet to change that assessment of him as the US Attorney General.
If he does have something going on, he should receive an Academy Award for acting, 'cause he has me convinced he's just about the dumbest damned AG we've had for awhile.
The only accomplishment of note that I can find for him is his strengthening of the forfeiture laws, which do little beyond screwing over honest citizens of the US and literally giving our already sketchy police a license to steal the goods of someone not even charged with a crime.
If that's an accomplishment, I sure as hell hate to deal with his failures.

He had a lot of people fooled for awhile, but his quisling colors are coming through the faded red, white and blue that he falsely clothed himself with.

I agree. Trump knows what Sessions is doing and Trump is happy to have Sessions in place. That tells me everything is OK. I think 2018 will be a very fun year.
