True that, however, you are leaving out some salient points that make that comparison void.

1. The Media is far, FAR more left and outwardly biased then they were in Reagan's time.

2. The running away from reason and morality by the left, A.K.A. Democrats, A.K.A. Marxists, etc. is far, FAR more advanced with today's Democrats then the Democrat's of Reagan's day.

3. The GOP is far, FAR more devious, and out-and-out antagonistic to conservatives than they were Reagan's day.

4. The culture in America has shifted far, FAR more left than it was in Reagan's day.

Put that all together and Reagan would not be doing any better than Trump is today.

Was Reagan much more eloquent Trump? Absolutely YES.

Was Reagan much more of a conservative and adhered to the Constitution than Trump? Absolutely yes.

It would have not mattered if the two men traded places in the timeline of history.

I'd argue that President Trump, with his pugilistic behavior and approach is just exactly the man needed for right now given what he, and we are up against.
