You know,... at first I was inclined to agree with you.

What caused me to post that, is the idea we have a majority in Congress.

For that reason, I addressed what I did.

We lament not getting what we want because of the Republican majority, when it comes to gun rights.

We are falling for the old R vs D group think.

Hey, I do it too. I’ve made countless posts about us having the majority. We clearly don’t. Otherwise things would be getting done.

Agreed. The "Republican" party has the majority, previously the Democrats, and surely at some point in the future, they will again. Change the party label and we see little difference--Schumer instead of McConnell. Probably not even close as to who is worse leader, McConnell.

Our challenge is that the members of this club say one thing to get elected (Clinton's "public answer"), wave issues out there to raise money (Cornyn's shameless support for national reciprocity), yet drop all pretenses once they are in the well of the Senate. They have zero interest in delivering this to the masses as it doesn't affect them. Like Obamacare, doesn't matter to them. They get special handling, exceptions. In case of national reciprocity, they have own security, will give themselves dispensations.
